Rebecca Rosenbarker is a dual-citizen of both Italy and the United States. Her work as an interpreter, translator, and educator has allowed her to experience life with family in Italy, in the heart of the Amazon rainforest of French Guiana, around the mountain ranges of Kyrgyzstan, near the rolling lavender fields of France, alongside the Maasai in Tanzania, and among the sacred groves of Hong Kong. She has traveled to 71 countries and counting.

Rebecca studied for her Diplôme d’études en langue française at l’Université de Strasbourg. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in French from Messiah University and an M.A. in ESL from Hamline University. Rebecca has collaborated and provided translation and interpreting services to international publications and works including USAID, Algerian political activist and author Rachid Nekkaz, and the 2021 documentary filmed in Corsica “Finding Tyler.”

Rebecca currently lives in the Washington DC metro area. She regularly interprets in settings ranging from travel, K-12 education, higher education, Video Relay Service (VRS), medical, mental health, religious, and with Deaf-blind individuals. Rebecca holds an EIPA score of 4.5 and is RID Certified (NIC).

Also an accomplished musician, Rebecca has had the pleasure and privilege of performing throughout the United States, as well as Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, and Ireland. An avid hiker and swimmer, Rebecca also enjoys a good game of football (soccer), a worthy chess opponent, or settling down with a hot cup of tea and a good book.
